My life has been a little chaotic lately due to the summer class I took on impulse. I’m not sure it was the best decision but hey, it’s almost over and I couldn’t be happier. It hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows (Literally. It’s been raining everyday. Not just drizzle but huge thunderstorms. I love it.) Which leads me to a topic I’ve wanted to talk about for a while now: How to deal with negative people.
So, how do you avoid negative people? It’s not exactly easy in this day and age where we are expected to collaborate in almost every workplace and most definitely in school/college. I’ll try to break it down in the way that has worked out for me
When it comes to skincare, I’ve found that less is more. In the past I’ve used toners, exfoliating scrubs and glycolic acid creams but eventually I realized I was doing more harm to my skin than good. Sure some products helped minimize my pores and even out my skin tone a little bit but nothing really kept acne at bay.
You’ve probably heard of abundance affirmations but dismissed them as nonsense or you just never felt motivated enough to try them. It sounds too good to be true. I used to think so too. That is until two years ago when I was going through a bit of a rough patch in my life. I had been unemployed for about three years, I wasn’t going to school and I was going through what was most likely major depression. To make things worse I had no way of getting out of this situation. For various reasons I was stuck. I felt hopeless. Little did I know that things were about to change in major way.
It all started when I was looking through Glozell Green’s liked videos on YouTube (If you don’t know who she is you should check her out here. She’s amazing!). Anyway, she had been a on a bit of a health kick during that time and when I saw David Childerley’s EFT Tapping video listed I was curious to see what it was about. I’m so grateful to the Universe that I did because that video has been one the biggest catalyst for spiritual development in my life. After watching this video, for the first time in a long time things started falling into place for me. I stopped being such a pushover, I started putting myself first and I started believing in a future where my dreams come true.
So what changed? I did. How? I changed my mind.
Let me explain. In his video David Childerly guides you through a serious of tapping actions while he recites positive affirmations. First he explains why. The abundance affirmations he recites in this video are positive ideas about “your health, happiness and wealthy future”. The premise is that you are to watch the video, while listening to the abundance affirmations and tap along, every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to sleep for 30 days. Easy.
So what is the point of tapping along? Each point he tells you to tap is an acupuncture point. By tapping along while listening to each of the abundance affirmations you are training your brain to focus on these words. It’s almost as if your brainwashing yourself into being a better person.
I know this all sounds a bit far fetched. I get it. I’ve always been weary of this kind of thing but after having completed this 30-day routine twice now, I can honestly tell you that it worked for me.
Your thoughts are so much more powerful than you can imagine. Your thoughts become things. I truly believe the law of attraction is a real thing because I’ve seen it work in my favor time and time again. If you rid your mind of doubt and truly believe this you can achieve anything!
David Childerley’s video helps you do this by helping you break up with the old negative thoughts that held you back in the past. With his video you are replacing all those bad habits that kept you from achieving amazing things.
You may be wondering how exactly my life started changing after I started the 30 day routine. Well, first of all, I found an amazing job opportunity that paid above minimum wage and wasn’t stressful, just as I had been dreaming of for the longest time. This opened up the door to me going back to school, as I was able to pay back some debts and also pay for my tuition. More importantly than that I started to believe in myself. My self-esteem grew and I finally felt like I was moving toward good things in my life. I no longer felt hopeless and lost. I realized that I am, just like you, exactly who I choose to be.
It must have been fate that led me to that video, or perhaps part of me was tired of the direction my life was headed in and willed it into existence. I don’t know but I do know that I will always be grateful to David Childerley for the impact his words have had on my life.
